Pi
is an environmental consulting firm founded by
Pierre Hauselman
in 1997.
At the time when the company was created, Mr. Hauselman had been deeply involved in
numerous projects related to the areas of environmental management standards.
In 1999,
Nancy Vallejo
joined the company. Prior to
Pi
, Ms. Vallejo had performed the roles of General
secretary of the Colombian Environmental Protection Agency and Co-ordinator of
WWF International's work on the Convention of Biological Diversity.
Pi
areas of expertise includes high level advise on policy issues, development
and analysis of strategies related to Sustainable Development and the relation
between Sustainable Development and Trade, social and environmental responsibility,
standardization and ecolabelling; forest certification, community forestry, capacity
building and training, and legal and institutional matters, particularly the use of
voluntary incentives to promote Sustainable Development.
Pi
philosophy is to try to link scientific and technical solutions with solidarity.
