Why Pi?

Pi, 3.1416….., is a number central to technology. Without Pi, no machine involving a wheel could be designed. Yet Pi is not a finite number . I.e. technical applications can function with elements that have a certain amount of uncertainty.

This is a technical application of a concept, linked with the precautionary principle: you do not need to have absolutely all the elements in hand to act and achieve. We aim to provide solutions that are applicable and effective, even in a context of some uncertainty, for teh beter benefits of our clients and teir stakeholders.

In the Chinese I Ching, Pi is the symbol for holding together, uniting, harmonizing and solidarity. All these concepts are central in our company's work, notably in standardization.

Pi Environmental Consulting strives to find workable answers benefiting and bringing together our clients, people and the environment. We think that multi-stakeholder processes are key in achieving solutions maximizing benefits for all parties. By combining technique, harmonization and solidarity, the name Pi represents three key values of our company.
